Who are you? How do you want to be portrayed? What is it that you want your memory to hold on to? 

Through storytelling and photography, I seek the answers to these questions. I want each and every photograph that I capture to remind you exactly how that moment felt and remind you that these moments can only be lived once - so let's live them fully, shall we? 

I am wholly a romantic, somebody who seeks only the most beautiful and meaningful morsels of life. It is these moments that I strive to capture through the lens. The magic of photography for me is in capturing some ephemeral truth -not only the aesthetic of a moment, but its emotion. I find myself most compelled by images that are not only so visually striking that they demand your attention, but the ones that you can return to time and time again to feel the moment just once more - the images that have a story to tell.

When I am asked to detail my relationship with photography, I find it difficult to know where to start. Did I fall in love with photography as I spent my childhood watching my grandfather carry around an old film camera, snapping candid little moments of truth within our family? Did I fall in love with photography when I got my first digital camera in seventh grade, taking angsty greyscale photos of my best friends and I? (A phase I never really grew out of). Did I fall in love with photography when I was a senior in college and took my first formal photography class, needing a reason just to hang around one more semester? 

If I am perfectly honest, my love for this medium deepened with each of these instances, as it never failed to give me whatever it was I needed - a glimpse of beauty, the ability to express my truth, an escape from reality. Nowadays, I am in awe with gratitude every single time that I pick up my camera to shoot something that makes my heart flutter and my mind spin with possibility.
